We are asking practices to raise this with clients at the first point of diagnosis – this could be at the initial diagnostic radiographs or when relaying the report to the client. We would simply ask you to:
Ask the owner for permission to share their pet’s name, surname and email address for the purpose of enrolment. This information would be used only by Rata to enrol the patient with the RCVS CCR.
Enter this information with the referral form by ticking the cruciate disease box and follow the instructions.
Alternatively you can email the details to info@ratavetsurgery.co.uk under the heading ‘RCVS Canine Cruciate Registry enrolment’.
From there clients will be asked to complete simple questionnaires (LOAD and COI) at interims pre and post surgery.
